Ronald D. Drynan, Jr.
In loving memory of our friend, Ron Drynan, whose joyful presence at the ranch will be missed by all of us and the horses. He enjoyed the peace and comfort the horses gave to him as he happily cared for all of them.
His wife, Wendy’s, words:
“Ron was the most incredible man, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and dear friend to so many. He was a kind-hearted soul, a naturally curious mind, a consummate teacher, giving everything he could to those around him, endeavoring to do the right thing, and constantly pushing himself to be better. The worlds of so many are poorer for his passing.
Ronald Darrell Drynan, Jr., age 62. Ron was a loving husband of Wendy A. Drynan, loving father of Ronald D. Drynan III, (Kristina Drynan) loving son of Jane A. Drynan, preceded in death by his beloved father, (Ronald D. Drynan, Sr.), loving son-in-law of Merriann Beja, preceded in death by his beloved father-in-law, (Robert A. Beja, Sr.), fond brother of fraternal twin John M. Drynan, (Megumi Drynan), Ruth J. Chastain, (Randall Chastain), Douglas A. Drynan, (Elizabeth Drynan), fond brother-in-law of Robert A. Beja, Jr. and Christopher J Beja, (Victoria Beja), dear uncle to Haru Miyata, Ariel R. Beja, Sumner Lambert, Ian M. Drynan, Morgan T. Beja, Katie Chastain, Jamison L. Beja, and Brooke Chastain.
As per Ron’s wishes, there will be no services or further arrangements made at this time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of Ronald D. Drynan, Jr. to, “After the Home Stretch” horse rescue. It was a place he volunteered every Saturday morning at the crack of dawn, to care for the horses there that he loved so deeply.

Lord Bacchus
Lord Bacchus was owned and loved by Ann Damiano until he passed away in February 2023. His started his racing career in Washington, but apparently at 17+ hands, was considered too big to be a successful racehorse. He was sold off the track as a 3-year-old to a dressage trainer who thought he had potential. Ann purchased him as an eight-year-old and he spent the next 20 years training and showing in the sport of dressage but he never forgot his thoroughbred heritage. They competed through United States Dressage Federation fourth level and he helped Ann get her USDF bronze medal. Bacchus was a great example of how OTTBs can find wonderful second careers.
Bacchus was a very regal horse and was loved and respected by everyone who met him.

My Dad passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He’s with my Mom who he has missed so much since her passing 5 years ago. He has been struggling the past few weeks but I believe he was waiting for my cousins, Jerry and Linda to arrive before he closed his eyes for the final time. He recognized them immediately and even winked at Jerry, like he did so many years ago when they were up to one of their practical jokes….:)”

Inge (Schloss) Lehmann
Inge Lehmann, our wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away February 13, 2015 in her apartment in San Francisco.
Our mom was passionate about life and was a loyal and dedicated friend to people important to her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a gracious hostess. A long-time San Francisco resident, she and her husband, the late Gary Lehmann, enjoyed many weekends boating on the bay with friends and family. She loved to travel, going to the symphony and building the “house on the hill” with her husband, Gary.
Inge is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Lucchesi and Yvonne Hunter, her adored grand-daughter, Chana Schames, caring son-in-law, Jeff Lucchesi, wonderful sister-in-law, Joan Schloss, and nephews and nieces Jeff and Melody Schloss and their family, Ron Schloss, Bob Schloss, Linda and Ray Philbin and Connie Benesch.
